Overhauling My Closet One Step at a Time: Fall Staples Haul

I’m typically not the girl who buys herself a lot of new clothing (to my mother’s chagrin – clothes shopping is one of her favorite pastimes). Lately, I’ve spent a lot more time clothes shopping for my daughter than for myself – now that, I enjoy way too much. 😅 It takes a conscious effort for me to buy new clothes for myself because I can always think of other things that I should be spending my money on instead. In all honesty, my entire closet just needs a full overhaul at this point, so I’m trying to gradually update pieces as I run across clothes that I love or can get a good deal on.

I recently ran across a couple of really good sales at Old Navy and Aerie, and I just couldn’t say no to updating some of my fall closet staples. These are two stores that I usually have really good luck at when shopping.

My Old Navy Fall Finds

I bought some great versatile base pieces from Old Navy, and from Aerie, I got some cute signature comfy pieces. Cute and comfy is my favorite “style” of clothes, if you can really even call it that. I enjoy dressing up, but I’d much rather spend most of my time in comfy clothes that still look cute. Comfort doesn’t mean you have to wear a groutfit 24/7 – you can find plenty of cozy clothes that are still stylish.
